PRACTITIONER PROFILES
Steven
I. Tay, M.D. is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine
and Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Tay is a diplomate of the National
Board of Examiners. Like Dr. Halprin, Dr. Tay was a solo practitioner
prior to the formation of the group and he also spent time working
in the corporate health environment. Dr. Tay held the position
as Director of the Emergency Department in a community hospital
in Pennsylvania in the late 1970's.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the State University
of New York-Downstate Medical Center School of Medicine. His internship
and residency was done at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Tay has held academic appointments at Boston University
School of Medicine, SUNY - Downstate, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine
and presently at Beth Israel Medical Center and the Albert Einstein
School of Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Tay is a member of the American Medical Association,
the American College of Physicians, and the American Geriatric
Society. He has , in the past, been a member of the American Society
of Parental and Eneral Nutrition and the American Society of Wellness
and Environmental Medicine.
Dr. Tay is well published and his publications can be found
in such journals as the American Journal of Medicine, and Annals
of Neurology. In addition, Dr. Tay has given lectures in such
prestigious forums as the New York Stock Exchange.
