PRACTITIONER PROFILES
David
L. Hammer, M.D. is a board certified internist. He received
his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from McGill University
in Montreal, Canada and his medical degree from Boston University
Medical School. Dr. Hammer completed both his medical internship
and residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.
Following his residency, Dr. Hammer went on to do a fellowship
in Pulmonology at Bellevue Hospital, part of the New York University
Medical Center.
Currently, Dr. Hammer is an active member of the Department
of Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center and holds an attending
appointment there. He also holds a clinical instructor appointment
in medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Hammer has been published in the medical journal, Chest.
He is an active member of the American Board of Internal Medicine,
the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic
Society.
